Keeping a running list of solo date ideas has been such a saving grace. Especially when it’s been a long week, and I decide at the last minute that it’s the perfect day or night to do something special for myself.

Doing absolutely nothing is one of my favorite things to do, but sometimes, it’s good to get out and do a little something.

And there’s something really magical about taking yourself out to do that something. I’m almost certain that it’s because you are fulfilling your own desire for a nice day or evening, opposed to waiting for someone else to offer or supply it for you.

Some solo dates can require a bit more energy making them more challenging and intense, and others give you the opportunity to just let loose and have fun in your own company.

Speaking of fun, you can hear more about how to develop a “fun habit” in my podcast episode, “Can Fun Really Be the Wellness Hack You’re Missing?? | The Key to Wellness You’ve Been Overlooking” that I did with Organizational Psychologist, Behavioral Scientist and Author of The Fun Habit, Dr. Mike Rucker. I think you’ll like it!

I thought it was only right to create a list of solo date ideas to refer to when I have time to squeeze in some “me time”. And, what’s so nice about these solo date ideas is that some of them could be short and fulfilling, and others could last all day. It just depends on how much time you have for a little self-care.

Below, you’ll find a list of 47 solo date ideas for you to try. Explore your local area on the map to see where you can find places near you to do some of these fun activities.
